Paul A. Shoemaker, CPA

Most of my career has been in academia. I hold a PhD in Business – Accounting and have taught accounting and tax courses for 30-plus years at the undergraduate, masters, and PhD levels. The last 28 of those years were at the University of Nebraska – Lincoln. I am a certified public accountant (CPA) and during my time in Nebraska, I worked in the tax department of a large Midwest regional accounting firm during multiple tax seasons. Upon retirement from full-time teaching, my wife and I moved to Amador County, California to be closer to family. Now I apply my education and experience to helping individuals and small businesses with tax preparation and planning.

On a personal note, we have 3 adult children and 6 grandchildren. In our leisure time we enjoy traveling, spending time with family and friends, and assembling 1000-piece jigsaw puzzles. We are actively involved in the ministries/activities of the Sutter Creek Church of the Nazarene (SCNAZ) where I serve on the Finance Team.
